The practice closes between 1-2pm on one Wednesday per month for staff training. We may also close during a lunch period on one or two other days during the year to allow important meetings or training to take place.
|There is a health visitor attached to the practice to give advice and monitor the health and development of children and families|
There is a community matron, Ann Storer, attached to our practice. She provides on-going support to patients over 65 who have been hospitalised on two or more occasions in the past and have long-term conditions. As well as carrying out home visits to such patients, she is also able to network with other NHS staff and service providers to ensure that all available support is being given.
As a patient, relative or carer sometimes you may need to turn to someone for help, advice or support. The Patient Advice and Liaison Service act independently when handling concerns regarding hospital care. They sort out problems quickly and can guide you through the different NHS services available. They can also refer you and your family to specific local or national-based support agencies where appropriate. The telephone number is 024 7624 6002.
There are many additional support staff that come into the practice in order to provide additional services to our patients. For instance: health visitors, midwives, district nurses, community psychiatric nurses etc. These clinicians work closely with practice staff. Everyone working for the NHS has a legal duty to keep information about you confidential.
